iTown is the latest indoor leisure trend for early years to come learn, play, act and eat.
Located in Queen Street, Newton Abbot and open between 09:30-6:15pm daily and all year round.
We will have up to 20 themed children's role play areas which have been specifically designed for early years education and a café that has seating for 100+ with is own ice-cream parlour and a merchandise area so the children can buy memory to take away and enjoy a little bit of iTown in their own home.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Café Team Member to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving high-quality coffee, and efficiently handling food orders.
As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages
Efficiently handle food orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Maintain a clean and organised café environment
Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Operate the cash register accurately, handling transactions with speed and efficiency
Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies as needed
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and sanitised
Collaborate with team members to ensure that the café runs smoothly on a daily basis
Able to prepare sandwiches at pace and be able to quickly deliver orders from the ice cream parlour.
Requirements:
Prior experience working in a café or similar hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
A passion for delivering excellent customer service is essential.
A strong work ethic with the ability to multitask effectively is required.
Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques (such as latte art) is preferred but not essential.
The ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays is required.
