We now have an opportunity for an Assembler to join our niche engineering business, situated in Axminster, East Devon.
Working closely with our Technical Engineers and your Assembly, Machine Shop and Electrical Test colleagues, you will have practical engineering workshop experience and be able to prove your engineering capability. Occasional work will be required to support our Stores, Packing and Despatch Departments.
As well as being a motivated and enthusiastic team player, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to work on your own initiative, ensuring safe systems of work at all times.
Your ability to liaise with others across departments to get the job done will be essential. A willingness to get involved and be happy to move between our production departments is also vital to success in this role, as well as being a good communicator to help out your colleagues and contribute to the team.
The position would suit someone who can:
- Show that you are practical with engineering assembly work
- Be competent in the use of all hand tools, such as drills and compressed air guns
- Read and interpret 3D and 2D engineering drawings with little instruction required
- Be willing to get involved, with a positive attitude towards learning new and varied tasks
- Be flexible and adaptable and move between our production departments
- Show commitment and reliability
