The Role (Visiting Lecturer - Counselling - Start Date August 2023)
The Faculty of Couselling, Education and Early years wishes to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Lecturer to provide high quality teaching to 16-18s and adults in a busy further education environment.
To manage and teach own student counselling groups (CPCAB Levels 2-4). To provide tutorial support to students through one-to-one support, learner feedback and progression.
To act as an internal assessor, keeping accurate student records. It is expected that the post holder will contribute to course design, development of programmes and the expansion of the area generally.
Variable hours - Mon to Fri
Please note: The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Skills and Experience
The ability to deliver excellence in teaching and learning. Ability to relate to and motivate students from a variety of backgrounds and ages, and to employ effective teaching strategies.
- Candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent);
- English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
- A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialism.
