A busy and expanding Toy retailer is looking for the ideal candidate to join our team in what can be described as a fun and lively workplace.
12 hours per week at a minimum including 1 shift on a Weekend day and 1 shift on a Weekday. Additonal hours will be available during the peak Christmas period and hours per week will increase in December. This is a Temporary position with employment ending on 1st January 2024.
The basic duties for the role include:
- Ensuring each customer receives outstanding service by providing a fun and friendly environment.
- Greeting and acknowledging every customer whilst maintaining comprehensive product and range knowledge.
- Merchandising ranges and products in line expected standards whilst ensuring overall appearance of the store is at the highest level at all times.
- Reflect sincere cheerfulness in everyday contact with customers and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide a high standard of visual merchandising by ensuring merchandise is attractively displayed and where appropriate grouped into merchandise categories or displays.
- Provide superior customer service by understanding and implementing product knowledge, service and sales skills and establishing rapport with customers aimed at initiating sales.
- Undertake housekeeping responsibilities daily for the benefit of the store, staff and customers.
- Maintain open and honest communication with customers, staff and management.
- Maintain the operational standard of the store by following store operational procedures.
- Maintain an awareness of all promotions and marketing activity within the business.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
- Aid customers in locating merchandise.
- Communicate customer requests to management.
- Assist in completing price changes within the store
- Participate in regular inventory stock counts in order to manage and control stock levels within the store.
- Maintain dynamic work relationship with the team members & key departments.
- Be a great ambassador for Toy Galaxy at all times when representing the company.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary (Employment will end on 1st January 2024)
Hours: 12 Hours per week minimum with opportunity for further shifts and an increase in hours in December
Salary: £5.28 to £10.42 dependent on age and based on National Living Wage
